Domaine Bergeville

Domaine Bergeville grows grapes at Canton de Hatley, in the IGP-Vin du Québec appellation of Quebec.

Where it sits

Domaine Bergeville is at Canton de Hatley in Quebec. Quebec has no geographic appellations in the way Ontario and British Columbia do: the province recognises just two reserved wine appellations, Vin du Québec and Vin de glace du Québec, and both are certifications a producer opts into rather than places on a map. This winery holds IGP-Vin du Québec. How appellation systems differ across the country is covered on the Canadian wineries page.

What it grows

The winery works with Marquette, Vidal, Gamay, Riesling, St-Pépin, Frontenac, Acadie, Radisson, Sabrevois, Frontenac blanc, Frontenac gris, Frontenac noir and Geisenheim.

Where a grape has a page here, it covers how that variety behaves in Canadian conditions: the heat it needs to ripen, the Brix it reaches, and where it is planted.
