Grape growing in Ontario, explained · on the web since 2000

Wineries

British Columbia wineries

102 British Columbia wineries with the town each one sits in and the grapes it grows, compiled from each winery's own website in October 2026.

How the growing areas work

British Columbia uses Geographical Indications. The Okanagan Valley carries the bulk of the plantings and is itself divided into sub-GIs, with the Similkameen Valley, Fraser Valley, Vancouver Island, the Gulf Islands, Thompson Valley, Shuswap, Lillooet and the Kootenays making up the rest. A wine may carry the narrower claim or the wider one.

Grapes that also grow in Ontario have pages here — Chardonnay, Riesling, Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris among them — covering how each behaves in a cool climate.

If you run one of these wineries and something here is wrong or missing, tell us and we will fix it. We would rather show a blank than a guess. The rest of the country is indexed on the Canadian wineries page.
