Our roundtable is
comprised of commercial wine grape
growers and wineries, including the 1999 Grape King and the year 2000 Winery
of the Year, all located here in Southwestern Ontario, the most southerly coastal
area of Canada.
Situated at the same latitude as the Mediterranean, grape growers here
grow some of the world's finest vinifera
and french hybrid wine grapes that continually and reliably produce
award winning, world class wines, including naturally
produced ice wines.
In order to ensure these high quality standards the Southwestern Ontario Vintners Association has taken on the task of bringing viticulture and enology together through ongoing research and field trials.
Due to the ever increasing interest in grape growing and winemaking we have established a consulting company, ontariograpes.com , providing all services relevant for the successful and consistent high quality cold climate grape growing.
