Growwine mailgroup

Growwine is intended as a self-help group on the net for those who want to grow something that wine can be produced from. This is not restricted to grapes, nor indeed to fruit. You can make wine from almost anything you can grow. Maple sap frozen down, with added yeast, acid, sugar and yeast nutrient makes a decent wine. Fruit however, especially grapes, will tend to dominate discussion.

The people who have signed up for growwine have considerable expertise, and breadth of growing and winemaking experience. The server has been up for about 2 weeks now, and membership approaches 40 people, including commercial growers, winery owners, people with small vineyards that must be buried etc. Dr. Fisher at Vineland has been kind enough to volunteer to answer specific tough questions, and Dr. Reynolds at the Cool Climate Viticultural Institute has shown an interest.
